GOAT BAND Terms of Service
Effective November 9, 2026 · Last updated November 9, 2026 · Version 3.0
The short version
This summary is part of these Terms, but the full sections below control.
| Topic | In short | Section |
|---|---|---|
| Who we are | GOAT BAND is a free-to-play fantasy music game run by d'Anconia Ventures LLC in the United States. | 1 |
| Agreeing | You agree to these Terms when you agree to them at sign-up or checkout, or when you start a band as a guest after we've shown you a link to them. | 1 |
| Age | You must be at least 13. Under 18, you need a parent's or guardian's permission. You must be 18 or older to buy credits or generate songs. | 2 |
| The game | The musicians are real. Everything else is a game: ratings are our opinions, careers are simulated, and the musicians are not involved with GOAT BAND. | 4 |
| Credits | 1 credit makes 1 AI song. Credits never expire while your account is open and have no cash value. If a song fails, its credit comes back automatically. | 5 |
| Ad-free | The 12- and 99-song packs remove GOAT BAND's ads while you are signed in to that account, for as long as the account exists and we run GOAT BAND. It ends only in the cases in section 5.5, such as a full refund or a chargeback of that purchase, and it is paused while an account is suspended. | 5.5 |
| Refunds | You can ask for a refund of a pack's unused credits within 14 days of buying it. In the EU, EEA and UK you also have the cancellation rights in section 5.7. | 5.6, 5.7 |
| Ads | GOAT BAND doesn't currently show ads. | 6 |
| AI songs | Songs are made by AI and published to the Community under your leaderboard name. We can't promise you own them. You may use them for personal, non-commercial purposes. | 7 |
| Public features | Your public name is a generated leaderboard name. Your email and account name never appear publicly. | 9 |
| Fair play | One account per person. No bots, cheating or abuse. | 10 |
| Problems | Contact us first. Either of us can then go to small claims court or to the state and federal courts located in Wyoming. If you live in the EU, EEA or UK, you keep your home-country rights and courts. | 17 |

1. Who we are and how you agree
GOAT BAND (goat-band.com) is operated by d'Anconia Ventures LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company, 30 N. Gould St., Ste. R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA ("GOAT BAND", "we", "us"). You can reach us at support@goat-band.com.
These Terms are a contract between you and us. They cover the website, the game and everything you can do on it.
How you agree. You accept these Terms when you tick or click to agree to them, which we ask you to do when you create an account and when you buy credits. If you play as a guest, you accept them by starting a band after we've shown you a link to them. If you don't agree, please don't use GOAT BAND.
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and how we use it. Please read it too.
Some features explain how they work where you use them, such as the daily board. Those explanations help you use the feature. If one conflicts with these Terms, these Terms control.
2. Who can use GOAT BAND
- Minimum age. You must be at least 13. Where your country requires a higher age to use an online service without a parent's consent, you must be at least that age.
- Players under 18. If you are under 18, or under the age of majority where you live, you need a parent's or guardian's permission to use GOAT BAND, and they should read these Terms with you.
Buying credits and making songs. You must be 18 or older, or the age of majority where you live if that is higher, to:
- buy credits;
- generate songs, including with the free welcome credits.
Younger players can still play, post daily scores and listen to songs.
- Age question. When you create an account, we ask for your birth month and year, so we can apply these rules.
- Children. GOAT BAND is not meant for children under 13. If we learn that an account belongs to a child under 13, we will close it, delete its personal information as our Privacy Policy describes, and refund its unused paid credits.
- Unauthorized purchases by a minor. If your child bought credits without your permission, email support@goat-band.com and we will refund the purchase. A refund removes the credits and ad-free that the purchase gave (section 5.6).
- Sanctions. You can't use GOAT BAND to buy credits if you are in a country under comprehensive US sanctions, or are on a US government list of restricted persons.
3. Accounts and guest play
3.1 Playing as a guest
You can play without an account. We link your bands to this browser using a random ID stored in a cookie, which lasts up to one year.
If you clear your cookies, or switch to another browser or device, we can't recover your guest bands.
Guests can't do these things:
- buy credits;
- generate songs;
- vote;
- report songs;
- post daily scores.
3.2 Signing in
There are no passwords. We email you a sign-in link that works once and expires after 15 minutes. After you sign in, you stay signed in on that browser for 30 days, unless you sign out first. Signing out signs you out of that browser only.
Anyone who can read your email can sign in to your GOAT BAND account. Use an email address that only you control, and keep it secure. If you think someone else has used your account, tell us at support@goat-band.com.
3.3 One account per person, one account per inbox
Each person may have one account. We treat some differently written addresses as the same address:
- capital letters are ignored;
- anything after a "+" before the "@" is ignored;
- dots in Gmail addresses are ignored.
So name+games@example.com and name@example.com are the same account.
If your email provider treats those as different mailboxes, sign up with the plain address. We send emails to the address you signed in with.
3.4 Guest bands move into your account
When you sign in on a browser where you played as a guest, the bands you played there move into your account.
If you played the same daily board as a guest and in your account, only one run can count for that board:
- the run you finished first before the board closed counts, unless our check rejected it (section 9.4). If none finished in time, the one you started first stays;
- your other runs stay in your history but are unranked.
3.5 Your account name and email
We create a private account name from your email address. It appears in your own menu and to our admins. It is never shown publicly.
You can't currently change your email address or account name yourself. Email us if you need to.
4. The game
- What it is. GOAT BAND is a fantasy game. You draft real musicians into a band and choose a producer. The game then simulates a fictional career for your band and scores it.
- It's fiction. Results come from the game's rules and chance. Careers, events, stories and scores describe fictional supergroups. They are not predictions about, or factual claims about, any real person.
- Ratings are opinions. Musician ratings are GOAT BAND's editorial game ratings. They are our opinions for the game, not statements of fact.
- The musicians are not involved. The real musicians, bands and producers in the game are not affiliated with GOAT BAND and do not endorse it. We use their names to identify them in the game. Our song generator also receives their names and our style notes about them, and is told not to imitate them (section 7.1). We don't use their photos, signatures or recordings, and we don't give our song generator samples of their voices. The figures on our stage are original silhouettes.
- Practice runs. Rehearsals and practice runs never count toward daily boards, records or the Community. You can't generate a song from a practice run.
- For fun only. Scores, ranks, streaks, honors and badges are just for fun. They have no cash value, and there are no prizes.
- Paying doesn't change scores. Buying credits or ad-free never changes your scores or rankings.
- Game changes. We may change ratings, rules, scoring and features to balance the game, fix mistakes or add new things (section 13).
5. Credits, purchases, refunds and ad-free
5.1 What a credit is
- One credit = one original song for one of your finished bands. A song includes the lyrics, arrangement, cover art and audio. Section 7 explains how songs are made.
- When it's spent. The credit is used when you start a generation.
- Failed songs. If a generation fails, or is interrupted and can't be finished safely, its credit comes back automatically. My Songs shows "credit refunded" next to that song, and your credit history shows "Refund — failed generation".
- Deleted songs. Deleting or unpublishing a finished song does not return its credit.
- No expiry. Credits never expire while your account is open.
- No cash value. Credits have no cash value. You can't sell them, transfer them to another account, or exchange them for money, except through a refund under these Terms or where the law requires it.
- Your history. The Credits page shows your balance and your most recent credit history.
5.2 Credits and ad-free are a license, not property
When you buy credits or ad-free, you get a limited, personal license to use those features of GOAT BAND. You don't own them, and they are not money.
We can take them back only in the situations these Terms describe. These are: a refund (section 5.6), a cancellation (section 5.7), a chargeback (section 5.8), suspending or closing an account (section 11), and shutting down GOAT BAND (section 13).
We also say this next to the Buy button.
5.3 Free welcome credits
The first time you sign in, your account gets 3 free credits, once per account. Creating extra accounts to collect them breaks section 10. Welcome credits follow the same rules as other credits, except that they can't be refunded for money.
They go only to accounts old enough to generate songs.
5.4 Buying credits
- Who can buy. You must be signed in and old enough (section 2).
- Packs. We sell packs of 1, 12 and 99 credits. The 12- and 99-credit packs also include ad-free (section 5.5).
- Price. The price is shown on the Credits page and on the checkout page, in US dollars. Prices shown include any VAT or sales tax we must charge. If we're required to collect a tax, we pay it out of the price you see.
- Payment. Stripe processes payments on its own checkout page. We never see or store your card number.
- When you get your credits. We add the credits, and any ad-free, after Stripe tells us the payment succeeded. If you cancel or the payment fails, you are not charged and nothing is added.
- If something goes wrong. If you were charged but didn't receive your credits, email support@goat-band.com. We will add them or refund you.
- Price changes. We may change prices. A change never affects a pack you have already paid for.
5.5 Ad-free
The 12-song and 99-song packs make the account that bought them ad-free.
What ad-free covers. While you are signed in to that account, on any device:
- GOAT BAND shows you no ads;
- our pages don't load our ad partner's ad code for you.
What ad-free does not cover:
- GOAT BAND while you are signed out;
- ads on other websites or apps, including sites you reach from links on GOAT BAND.
How long it lasts. We don't sell ad-free as "forever": it lasts for as long as that account exists and we operate GOAT BAND. It ends only if:
- the purchase that gave it is fully refunded (section 5.6), including by a cancellation under section 5.7;
- that purchase is charged back, from the moment the dispute opens (section 5.8);
- we close the account under section 11.5;
- you close your account (section 11.6);
- we shut GOAT BAND down (section 13).
While an account is suspended (section 11.4), you can't sign in. Your ad-free works again if we lift it.
What doesn't end it:
- A partial refund. (Partial refunds that together add up to the full price count as a full refund.)
- Our admins. They can't remove ad-free that you paid for.
- Losing one purchase, if you have ad-free from more than one. It continues while any of those purchases still gives it.
Ad-free that we gave you free of charge, for example as a goodwill gesture, can be removed by us.
Ad-free stays with the account. You can't transfer it to another account.
5.6 Refunds
Change of mind (every player). Within 14 days of buying a pack, you can ask for a refund of that pack's unused credits.
- Email support@goat-band.com from your account's email address. (EU, EEA and UK consumers can also use any of the methods in section 5.7.)
- Tell us the date of the purchase.
- We work out how many of the pack's credits are unused. We treat credits as used in the order you got them: your welcome credits first, then packs from oldest to newest. So a pack's unused credits are the lower of its size and your current balance less the credits from packs you bought after it.
- We refund the matching share of the price you paid, through Stripe, to your original payment method.
What a refund does to your account. This is how GOAT BAND's systems handle every refund:
| Refund | Credits | Ad-free |
|---|---|---|
| Full refund of a pack | Removes all the credits that pack added, including any you have already spent | Ends the ad-free that pack gave |
| Partial refund | Removes a share of that pack's credits matching the share of the price refunded, rounded down in your favour | Stays |
Partial refunds that together add up to the full price count as a full refund.
If the credits removed were already spent, your balance can go below zero. You can keep playing, but you can't generate songs until you have at least one credit again.
If your balance is below zero, credits you buy later cover that first. For example, at −3 a 12-credit pack leaves you with 9. The Credits page shows your balance before you buy.
Faulty songs. If a finished song doesn't work, for example its audio won't play, email support@goat-band.com. We'll fix it or restore the credit.
After 14 days. We don't give refunds after 14 days, except:
- for a duplicate or mistaken charge;
- where the law requires it;
- where we choose to.
Your rights stay. Nothing in this section limits your rights under consumer law (section 14).
5.7 EU, EEA and UK consumers: your right to cancel
If you are a consumer in the EU, the EEA or the UK, the law gives you 14 days from your purchase to cancel it.
- Credits. When you buy, we ask you to agree that your credits start straight away, and to confirm you understand that you then lose the right to cancel for credits you have used. We then email you a confirmation of the purchase and of what you agreed to.
- Ad-free. Ad-free on the 12- and 99-song packs starts straight away too. It has no separate price, and cancelling never costs you anything for it.
- What you get back. If you cancel within 14 days, we refund the price of the pack's unused credits, counted as section 5.6 explains. If none of the pack's credits were used, that is a full refund, which also ends that pack's ad-free. Otherwise you keep the ad-free.
How to cancel. Tell us within 14 days of your purchase by emailing support@goat-band.com or writing to 30 N. Gould St., Ste. R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. You can use the model cancellation form at the end of these Terms, or any clear statement that you want to cancel. You don't have to give a reason. We refund you within 14 days of receiving your request, to your original payment method, at no cost to you.
This doesn't affect your other legal rights, including your rights if something you bought is faulty or not as described.
5.8 Chargebacks and payment disputes
If you dispute a charge with your bank or card issuer, we remove what that charge bought as soon as the dispute opens. That means all of its credits, plus its ad-free if it gave you any. As with refunds, your balance can go below zero, and credits you buy later cover that first.
If the dispute is decided in our favour, we restore them.
We never close your account just because you disputed a charge. Please contact us first: a refund is usually faster.
6. Ads
GOAT BAND doesn't currently show ads. If we start, we will update these Terms and our Privacy Policy before the first ad appears.
7. AI-generated songs
7.1 How a song is made
When you spend a credit, two AI services and our own code make your song:
| Step | Who does it | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Song plan: title, lyrics and style | Anthropic (its Claude AI) | Your band's line-up, including the real musicians' names, our ratings and style notes, plus your band's score and simulated career. Never your email address or account name. |
| Audio | ElevenLabs (its music AI) | A filtered plan: styles, section timings and the lyrics. Musicians' and bands' names are removed first. |
| Cover art | Our own code | Abstract art drawn from your band's data. No AI is used for the cover art. |
We instruct the AI not to imitate any real artist's voice, not to reuse existing lyrics and not to name real artists. We also filter real names out of the music request.
7.2 What songs are, and what they aren't
Songs are AI-generated, fictional works. No real musician performed, recorded, wrote or endorsed them.
AI can get things wrong:
- a song may contain odd, inaccurate or unexpected words or sounds;
- it may sound like existing music;
- other players may get similar songs.
Before a song is published, an automated check reviews its title and lyrics. A song it flags stays hidden until a person has looked at it. No person reviews songs before they are published. If you find a problem, report it (section 11).
7.3 Who owns a song, and what you may do with it
AI-generated music may not be protected by copyright at all. So we can't promise that a song is unique, or that you or anyone else owns it.
To the extent we hold any rights in a song made for you, we give you a personal, non-commercial, worldwide, royalty-free license to listen to it and to share its GOAT BAND link.
You may not:
- sell or license a song;
- upload it to music-streaming services, or to any platform where it earns money;
- register it with Content ID, a collecting society or another rights system;
- use it in a way that suggests a real artist made or approved it.
The limits above reflect our AI providers' terms (ElevenLabs, Anthropic). We can't give you more than they give us.
We may end this license if you break these Terms. The license also ends if a song is removed under section 11 or 12. If we remove a song because of someone else's rights claim and you didn't cause the problem, section 12.3 explains what we do.
7.4 Every song is published
Every song you generate is published to the GOAT BAND Community as soon as it is ready. There is no private option.
A song's page shows:
- its title, lyrics and audio;
- your band's line-up (for a daily-board band, only once that board is final);
- its score and the votes it gets;
- your leaderboard name as its creator.
Song pages can appear in search engines, and anyone can play them.
7.5 Unpublishing and deleting
- Unpublish. This hides a song from the Community and from its public page. You can publish it again later, unless our moderators removed it.
- Delete. This removes a song from public view for good: it can't be published again, and the credit is not returned. It stays listed as deleted in My Songs, where only you can open it.
- Our copy. Unpublishing doesn't erase our copy: we keep the song's record, its lyrics and its audio file privately. Deleting a song hides it at once, and we erase its audio and lyrics 30 days later. Our Privacy Policy explains how to ask us to erase them sooner.
- Copies elsewhere. Once a song has been public, copies may remain in browser caches, link previews, search results, or with people who saved or shared it. We can't recall those copies.
7.6 Keep the AI label
When you share a song, don't remove or hide the fact that it was made by AI.
8. Your content and our license to use it
What "your content" means:
- the bands you draft and their results
- songs generated for you, to the extent anyone holds rights in them
- your votes
- reports and anything you write in them
The license you give us. You give us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use your content. "Use" means to host, store, copy, stream, display, publicly perform and distribute it, and to change its format (for example to make previews, share cards and link-preview images). We use it to run, improve and promote GOAT BAND, on GOAT BAND and in posts about GOAT BAND.
For published content, this license lasts while the content is published, plus a reasonable time for backups and caches to clear. We may also keep private copies as section 7.5 and our Privacy Policy describe.
What you promise us. You confirm that you have the right to give us this license for anything you write, such as report text. You also confirm that what you write in reports is honest.
9. Public features
9.1 Your leaderboard name
- What it is. Your public name on GOAT BAND is a generated leaderboard name, such as "Copper Kite 0193". You can't type your own.
- When we create it. The first time something of yours goes public: when a song is published, when you post a daily score, or when you choose "Pick a name" on your Account page. We show you the name before anything goes public under it.
- Changing it. You can shuffle to a new name on your Account page. The new name replaces the old one everywhere at once. Copies already in link previews, screenshots or caches keep the old name.
- Removing it. You can't remove your leaderboard name.
- What never appears. Your email address and account name never appear publicly.
- Songs published before November 9, 2026. If you published songs before November 9, 2026, they stay credited to "a GOAT BAND player" until you confirm a leaderboard name.
9.2 Result pages
Every finished band has a result page, including practice runs (which are marked as practice). Anyone with the link can see it. It shows:
- the line-up;
- the producer;
- the story;
- the score.
Your name and email are not on it. Result pages are hidden from search engines. On a daily board, the line-up stays hidden until the board is final, shortly after it closes.
9.3 The Community and votes
Signed-in players with a confirmed email can vote songs up or down. You can't vote on your own songs.
Vote totals are public. Who voted for what is not.
9.4 Daily boards
- Same board for everyone. Every player gets the same board each day, and some boards come with a goal.
- Which run counts. Your first ranked run on a board counts. Practice runs afterwards don't.
- Checks. We check every counted run by replaying it. A run we can't verify may not count. We may also limit how many guest runs from one network count toward a board's results.
Posting your score. Signed-in players can post their scores to the board's public leaderboard. It shows:
- your leaderboard name;
- your score;
- your band's distinction;
- a link to your band, once the board is final.
- Posting is opt-in, and covers all your daily scores. Posting is off until you choose "Post my score". When you turn it on, your scores on earlier boards also appear on those boards' leaderboards, and it stays on for later boards. You can stop posting from a daily result at any time. When you stop, all your entries leave the public leaderboards, but they still count toward each board's results.
- Taking yourself off every leaderboard. "Take me off every leaderboard" on your Account page stops posting your daily scores.
9.7 Public means public
Anything public on GOAT BAND can be seen, linked to and shared by anyone. A leaderboard name links your public songs and daily scores together.
10. Fair play and acceptable use
Play fair, and don't spoil GOAT BAND for anyone else. You must not:
Accounts:
- create more than one account;
- create accounts to collect free credits or extra daily runs, or to get around a suspension;
- sell, rent or share your account, credits or ad-free.
Cheating:
- use bots, scripts, automation or a modified app;
- use GOAT BAND's servers other than by playing the game normally;
- exploit bugs. Report them to support@goat-band.com instead.
- Manipulation: rig votes, reports, scores, daily boards, or file false or abusive reports.
Misusing the AI:
- try to make the song generator produce content that names or imitates real artists;
- try to make it produce content that is hateful, sexual, violent, harassing or infringing;
- use songs to mislead people into thinking a real artist made them.
- Scraping: copy GOAT BAND's content or data in bulk, by scraping or otherwise.
- Security: probe or test our security, break or get around our limits, overload our systems, or access data that isn't yours.
- Ads: create fake ad clicks or views (section 6).
- People: impersonate anyone, or harass, threaten or abuse anyone.
- Age rules: lie about your age to get around section 2.
- The law: break any law, or help anyone else break these rules.
If you break these rules, we may act under section 11.
11. Reports, moderation, suspension and closing accounts
How we moderate. We use automated tools to filter real artists' names out of song requests, to check a song's title and lyrics before it is published, to limit how often people vote and report, and to verify runs by replaying them. Automated checks can hold back a song until a person looks at it, unrank a run we can't verify, and limit how many guest runs from one network count on a daily board. Everything else, including removing songs and suspending accounts, is decided by a person. We review reports about illegal content first, and we act on illegal content as soon as we know about it.
11.1 Reporting a problem
- Songs. Signed-in players can report a song for: copyright, impersonation, hate or harassment, sexual content, violence, spam, or another reason.
- Anyone else. Anyone can report a problem by emailing support@goat-band.com, including people without an account and rights holders.
- Copyright. For copyright claims, use section 12.3.
We confirm we've received your report and tell you what we decided.
11.2 What we may do
We review reports. We may act when:
- content or an account breaks these Terms or the law;
- it puts other people or GOAT BAND at risk;
- the law requires us to;
- we can't verify a run.
We act in proportion to the problem. We may:
- hide or remove songs;
- reset your leaderboard name;
- unrank daily runs, or remove them from a leaderboard;
- suspend or close an account.
11.3 We tell you why, and you can ask us to look again
When we act against your content or account, we'll tell you three things, unless the law or someone's safety prevents it:
- what we did;
- why;
- how to ask us to look again.
To appeal, reply to our message or email support@goat-band.com within 6 months. A person who wasn't involved in the first decision, where possible, will review it and tell you the result.
You can also go to court.
11.4 What a suspension does
While your account is suspended:
- you can't sign in, so you can't use your credits or ad-free;
- your votes don't count toward totals;
- your scores are taken off daily boards and leaderboards;
- we stop sending you reminder emails;
- songs you published are hidden from everyone else.
If we lift the suspension, your credits and ad-free work again, and the songs we hid are public again.
A suspension lasts no longer than 90 days. If we haven't lifted it by then, we either restore the account or close it under section 11.5.
11.5 Closing an account, and what happens to purchases
We may close an account for:
- fraud or payment abuse;
- a serious breach of these Terms;
- repeated breaches;
- a legal requirement.
What happens to your purchases:
| Why the account closed | Unused paid credits and ad-free |
|---|---|
| Fraud, payment abuse, or a serious breach that harms other players or GOAT BAND (for example cheating the leaderboards or abusing the AI) | They end. We refund only where the law requires it. |
| Any other reason, including repeated minor breaches, a legal requirement or our mistake | We refund the unused credits you paid for. Ad-free ends with the account. |
| You are an EU, EEA or UK consumer | We refund the unused credits you paid for, less any loss your breach caused us. Ad-free ends with the account. |
11.6 Closing your own account
You can stop using GOAT BAND at any time. To close your account and delete its data, use "Delete your account" on your Account page, or email privacy@goat-band.com from your account's email address. If you email us, we confirm by email and delete the account within 30 days.
Closing your account ends your credits and ad-free. If you are within 14 days of a purchase, ask for your refund first (sections 5.6 and 5.7).
Our Privacy Policy explains what we delete and what we keep.
12. Intellectual property and copyright
12.1 What's ours
GOAT BAND belongs to us or to the people who license it to us. That includes:
- the game and its code;
- the design;
- the ratings, the scoring system and the editorial text;
- the cover-art generator;
- the sounds;
- the GOAT BAND name and logo.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use GOAT BAND for your own non-commercial entertainment, under these Terms. We keep all rights we don't expressly give you.
12.2 Musicians' names and trademarks
Musicians' names, and the names of bands, producers and labels, are used to identify them. Any trademarks belong to their owners, who are not affiliated with GOAT BAND and do not endorse it.
If you represent a musician, an estate or another rights holder and want us to change or remove how a name appears, email support@goat-band.com. We review every request and tell you what we decided.
12.3 Copyright complaints (DMCA policy)
We respect copyright. If you believe something on GOAT BAND infringes your copyright, send a notice to our designated copyright agent:
Dustin Gannon, for d'Anconia Ventures LLC, 30 N. Gould St., Ste. R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA; phone 619-929-5070; email admin@goat-band.com
Your notice must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the copyrighted work you say is infringed (or, for several works, a representative list);
- the material on GOAT BAND you say infringes it, with its link, so we can find it;
- your name, address, phone number and email address;
- a statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act for them.
If a notice is incomplete, we'll contact you to help complete it.
What we do. When we receive a valid notice, we remove the material or block access to it, and we tell the player whose song or content it was.
If we remove a song because of someone else's rights claim and you didn't cause the problem, we return its credit, and the removal doesn't count against your account.
Counter-notice. If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you can send our agent a counter-notice. It must include:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- the material that was removed and where it appeared;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you believe in good faith that it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and phone number;
- your consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your address (or, if you are outside the US, any judicial district where we can be found), and your agreement to accept service from the person who sent the notice.
We forward the counter-notice to the person who complained. We restore the material 10 to 14 business days later, unless they tell us they have gone to court.
Repeat infringers. We close, in appropriate circumstances, the accounts of players who repeatedly infringe other people's copyright, for example by re-sharing material we have removed. A takedown of a song our AI generated for you counts only if you knowingly caused or spread the infringement.
False notices. Knowingly false notices or counter-notices can make the sender liable for damages.
12.4 Other complaints
For impersonation, misuse of someone's name or likeness, privacy or other legal complaints, email support@goat-band.com.
12.5 Ideas and feedback
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without paying you or giving you credit.
13. Changes to GOAT BAND, and shutting it down
Changing features. We may change, add or remove features, for good reasons such as:
- fixing problems;
- improving the game;
- security;
- a change in the law;
- a change by one of our providers;
- a significant change in what it costs us to run a feature.
The features we may change include daily boards, where and how ads appear (this never reduces ad-free under section 5.5), and the song generator and its AI providers.
If a change takes away what you paid for. If a change significantly reduces what you paid for (for example, if we remove song generation), we will tell you in advance. You can then get a refund of your unused paid credits. If a change harms what EU, EEA or UK consumers paid for more than slightly, you can also end the contract within 30 days of the change and get a refund of your unused paid credits.
Outages. Song generation depends on our AI providers. If a provider is unavailable, a generation can fail. When it does, the credit comes back automatically (section 5.1).
If we shut GOAT BAND down, we will:
- give at least 60 days' notice, by email to account holders and on the site;
- let you keep using your credits until it closes;
- refund unused paid credits.
14. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, GOAT BAND is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise any of these things:
- that GOAT BAND will always be available or free of errors;
- that scores, ratings, simulations or forecasts are accurate;
- that songs are original, unique, accurate or free of other people's rights, except as section 12.3 and your consumer rights provide.
To the extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
Your consumer rights. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be waived. That includes your rights if the service, or something you bought, is faulty or not as described.
In the EU, the EEA and the UK, you have legal rights over digital content and services. These Terms don't affect them.
15. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- No indirect losses. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, lost data or lost opportunities.
Our cap. Our total liability to you for all claims is limited to the greater of:
- the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose;
- US$50.
This section does not limit our liability for:
- death or personal injury caused by our negligence;
- fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation;
- our gross negligence or willful misconduct;
- anything else the law doesn't allow us to limit, including your rights as a consumer for faulty digital content.
EU, EEA and UK consumers. We are responsible for loss you suffer that was a foreseeable result of our breach of these Terms or our failure to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable. GOAT BAND is for personal use, so we are not responsible for business losses. The cap in point 2 doesn't apply to you.
New Jersey residents. The exclusions in point 1 and the cap in point 2 do not apply to claims for which New Jersey law does not allow a limit, including claims under the New Jersey Consumer Fraud Act.
16. Indemnity
If you break these Terms or the law and that leads to a claim against us by someone else, you are responsible for that claim, including reasonable legal costs, to the extent the law allows. This doesn't cover songs or other content our AI generated for you, unless you used them in a way these Terms don't allow (for example, selling one or presenting it as a real artist's work).
This section does not apply to consumers in the EU, the EEA or the UK.
17. Disputes and governing law
- Talk to us first. If you have a problem with GOAT BAND, email support@goat-band.com and tell us what happened and what you want. We'll try to sort it out with you within 30 days, and we'll ask you to do the same if we have a problem with you.
- Small claims. If we can't resolve it, either of us may bring a claim in a small claims court that has jurisdiction.
- Courts. Other disputes go to the state and federal courts located in Wyoming, or, if you are a consumer, the courts where you live if the law gives you that right. Subject to point 5, you and we agree to those courts' jurisdiction.
- Governing law. These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming and the federal laws of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
- EU, EEA and UK consumers. You also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of the country where you live. You can bring claims in your local courts, and we can bring claims against you only in the courts of the country where you live. Point 3 doesn't apply to you. In the UK, if you live in Scotland you can bring claims in Scotland, and if you live in Northern Ireland, in Northern Ireland.
- Urgent help. Nothing in this section stops either of us from asking a court for urgent help, for example to stop misuse of intellectual property.
18. Changes to these Terms
Why we change them. We may change these Terms to reflect changes to GOAT BAND, to the law or to how we operate. The date at the top shows when they last changed, and we keep earlier versions available.
Material changes. For a change that matters to you, we will tell signed-in players by email and on the site at least 30 days before it takes effect. Signed-in players are asked to accept the new Terms the next time they sign in or buy credits. If you don't agree, you can stop using GOAT BAND and close your account (section 11.6), and we will refund your unused paid credits.
Minor changes. Small changes (such as fixing typos, making wording clearer or describing a new feature) apply when we post them.
Continuing to play. If you keep using GOAT BAND after a change takes effect, the new Terms apply.
Past disputes. A change never applies to a dispute that arose before it took effect.
If you used GOAT BAND before November 9, 2026. These Terms replace our earlier terms. They apply to you from the first time you agree to them. Until then, credits and ad-free you bought earlier keep the terms you bought them under, except where these Terms are better for you. Ad-free bought before November 9, 2026 never ends because of a change to these Terms.
19. General terms
- Entire agreement. These Terms are the whole agreement between you and us about GOAT BAND. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal data. It isn't part of this contract, and it doesn't limit your privacy rights.
- Transfer. We may transfer these Terms to a company we control or to anyone who takes over GOAT BAND, for example if we form a company to run it or sell it. Your rights under these Terms won't be reduced, and we will tell you. You may not transfer your rights or your account.
- If part of these Terms fails. If a court decides that part of these Terms can't be enforced as written, that part applies as far as the law allows, and the rest of these Terms still applies.
- No waiver. If we don't enforce part of these Terms straight away, we can still enforce it later.
- Events beyond our control. We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. Examples include outages at our hosting, payment or AI providers, internet failures and natural disasters.
- Notices. We send notices to the email address on your account or show them on the site. Send notices to us at support@goat-band.com or 30 N. Gould St., Ste. R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA.
- Language. These Terms are written in English. If we provide a translation, the English version controls, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
- Sections that keep applying. Sections 5.2, 5.6, 5.8, 7.3, 7.5, 8, 9.7, 11.5, 12, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 19 continue after your account closes.
- Third parties. These Terms create no rights for anyone other than you and us. Our providers (including Stripe, Anthropic, ElevenLabs and Google) are not parties to them.
