How it works

1 · Spin

Each round deals you a real musical act and a decade. The draft pool is that act's curated lineup from that era. You get one ACT SWAP and one DECADE SWAP for the whole game — each usable exactly once.

2 · Build

Pick one musician per round and lock them into an open role: FRONT, LEAD, BASS, DRUMS, or WILDCARD. Role fit matters — a legendary guitarist forced onto drums drags the band down, but genuine multi-instrumentalists open up creative lineups. Lock-ins are permanent.

3 · Simulate

When five legends stand on the stage, we compute eleven band metrics — songwriting, chemistry, rhythm section, star power and more — from GOAT BAND's editorial ratings, then run a deterministic 12-year fictional career. The result is a GOAT Score out of 100. A perfect 100 requires perfection everywhere; it is meant to be legendary.

4 · Hear the hit

One song credit turns your band's musical DNA — genres, grooves, vocal character, production instincts — into an original AI-generated track: their biggest hit. Songs are published to the Community where everyone can listen and vote. No artist voices are cloned, and no real names are ever sent to the music model.

Ratings are GOAT BAND editorial game ratings — opinionated by design. Simulated careers and events are fictional and never claims about real people.
